Anne Heart (she/her/hers)

I’m a lover of creative energy and I keep finding innumerable ways to express it.

My initial schooling was in architecture and art which some how lead me to milking cows, sustainable farming and learning herbalism from wise women of rural Kansas. For a few decades, I directed my laser like focus philosophically and physically with a deep dive into the healing arts of yoga, dance, bodywork and ayurveda.

Becoming a mother of 2, quickly diverted my creative energy into when and how we would all get enough sleep to survive. Marriage and motherhood has brought my creative realm into the kitchen and the garden. I spend lots of time crafting wholesome, herbal, home harvested meals from scratch. Usually, my kids have their hands at the counter “helping”. We make sour dough bread, wild fermented herbal soda, wild harvested jams and homemade play dough.

You meet me now, with a creative offering that integrates many facets of my creative endeavors in a collaboration with my friends, community and hopefully you.

I love living on this mountain and grow more roots as each season turns. I hope our trails cross soon!

The Spark that Became Mother Mountain….

I don’t know how it all started… the chicken or egg… the chicken coop my neighbor gave me or the fresh egg bread we left on another neighbor’s porch. But I somehow find my self at the top of the most curvy road in the country with a very unique and connected community.

Our paths cross, the dogs bark as we pass the gate and we hear other children squeal somewhere in the forest. We get curious about each other, lend a helping hand when someone is on the side of the road or needs a recommendation for a plumber. This is how the village is knit; it’s organic, circumstantial and as old as time for social animals.

I am fascinated by the knit of humans relationships as well as the genius art of knitting. An age-old repeated mantra that, with patience, over time binds into a stout fabric of tiny connections. So I guess the sourdough started there… with the connection of hands to a craft, our craft to our wellness, our wellness imbedded in our bond, the bond flourishing on the mountain. I started mixing, playing with others and what we’ve got to share with you is fresh, maybe a little half baked but hot!
